I remember way back during school days, I used to hatewaking up in the morning (which I still do) and dress up to go to school, recalling all the previous day's homework that was forced upon us all. I usedto think to myself everyday, "Oh god! When will I grow up and there'll be noburden of studies all the freaking time". But now I would just do anything to goback to my school days, sit in my classroom, play flames and tic tac toe withmy friends, exchange juicy gossip on who has a crush on whom. I'm sure thereare a zillion other memories that we have about our childhood school days, howabout rejuvenating them right here, right now?
Wearing casuals on your birthday, the entire class singing 'HappyBirthday To You', distributing chocolates and then taking your BFF along withyou to give chocolates to the teachers in the entire school was undoubtedly thememory we want to relive.
I usually skipped some or the other homework for I'm such alazy bum. But I'm sure most of us irrespective of the homework factor prayedfor a teacher who would be too cocky to handle to get absent and we get asubstitute teacher. Yaayyyy! Free period was the best thing ever.
Diwali was the best time ever to go to school cuz we got toactually sneakily explode bombs in the loo. We were like pros in doing it cuz Idon't remember getting caught even once. Wish I still had souch amazing talentsto do stuff so sneakily.
The moment a teacher collects set of notebooks to stack itin her shelf at the staff room, we would all keep our fingers crossed hoping it'sus. And when we step out of the classroom, there is no way we will not walkaround the entire building to kill some extra time. In fact we would go to ourBFF's classroom to get them along with us too.
Didn't we all one day that didn't have a Maths period and hadPE instead? Mornings would kickstart with a happy face the moment we realize it'sthat day of the week. Packing our shorts and thinking which game to play whilewe step outdoors. Summers, winters, monsoons we just won't care as long as wegot to play.
Hahaha! Raksha Bandhan used be epic. Remember when guysliterally hid and ran away from us girls during Raksha Bandhan? And theopposite happened on Valentine's Day and we waited for our crush to come up tous and offer us a red rose.
There always used to be this one person who would forget towear whites on Wednesdays and they would get punished for not following therules. I used love love loooove my whites for they made all of us lookdifferent and we anyway used to get bored of wearing the same uniform theentire week. And yes! The morning prayers would have march pasts included inthem on Wednesdays, that was one thing we all dreaded.
Carrying a bag weighing 110kgs was the worst of all. Thanks to our buddies for we got to exchange books from them once their period was over and vice versa. We dreaded that the teacher would check the names on thebooks and get caught. Not just you but the friend who offered to help also getsin to trouble.
