SAFETY OF WOMEN IN INDIA

#Safety Of Women In India Today.....

• India ranks 148th out of 170 countries in the 'Women, Peace And Security Index 2021'.....what are your thoughts at this?....

•13th February is celebrated as National Women's Day. But, what is the point if they are not that safe on the real grounds? Let's have a deeper talk......

The safety of women in India is widely discussed everywhere. Now it has become a serious problem. The crime rate is skyrocketing. There are laws, but there must be adequate security measures that must be strictly followed to protect them against violence.

Violence and discrimination threaten women's lives and prevent them from participating in any social activities. Previously, women were confined to their homes only, but urbanization has forced women to break this prison and show the world their talents on an equal footing with men.

Women showed off their talents in everything from taxi drivers to CEOs of multinational corporations. A woman should let go of the idea that she can't do anything when she leaves the house. They must admit that she also stepped on the moon(Kalpana Chawala).

Domestic violence, sexual assault and murder are common forms of violence against women in India. Dowry death is an extreme form of murder. Indians still have the psychology that a dowry is a tradition and the girl's father loses everything to pay for it. Domestic violence is committed by one partner with another in a relationship. It is on the rise in India. 70% of women are victims of it. This leads to depression and suicide too. Moreover, many of the Indian  girls are forced to marry at a young age. But the young bride is not yet mature enough to understand her responsibilities. Acid attack is another form of brutality that ruins the life of a beautiful girl. "Relationship cheating" is another common crime against women.

Women's safety is a major issue in India and many organizations are working on it. Women need to learn a few self-defense tips and tricks to be useful in the worst-case scenario. Numerous videos and information about such protection techniques are available on the Internet to educate women about safety.

 • Key advices for the women:-

If you feel anything unsafe, please leave immediately.

Violence on public transport is common, so you should avoid using public transport at night, and if that's not possible, make sure you're traveling with enough crowd. Do not pick up strangers if you drive alone. Because their intentions are unclear. If you use your smartphone wisely, you can become your bodyguard in an emergency.

There are many convenient devices on the market to help in an emergency. Keeping your gear, sprays, and small knives in your wallet can be useful in case something goes wrong.
"Prevention is always better than cure"!

What we are supposed to do :-

The parents should provide their children with enough spiritual and moral values. Because what we emulate being kids....is something we imbibe in the best way. That's why moral education at younger ages may play a key role. Giving the lessons of humanity and practicing them in the real life may lead to  revolution....that people should adopt better ideas which may lead to a betterment in the women's peace and security in our country. Parents are the key players to do it....by having a close check and measures on their children. Later, the government policies should be implemented properly. But, the most vital aspect is.....we should give our best. Nothing more is required.

"Respect a woman.....cuz, she is the one who is taking our generation forward. She has an equal role in our betterment and a better living. Give her wings to fly not the hazards like depression and anxiety".

•Thanks for holding your patience.
